Aequora Latin Program at St. Francis High School (Paideia Institute)
A Sacramento after-school program, part of the Paideia Institute's national Aequora initiative, where a high school student site coordinator and volunteers teach Latin literacy, grammar, and Roman culture to local middle schoolers. Billed as the Sacramento area's first free Latin program.

Fort Ross Conservancy Volunteer Program
Volunteer program at Fort Ross and Salt Point State Historic Parks on the Sonoma Coast, the site of the historic Russian-American Company settlement. Teens assist with cultural history interpretation and site stewardship, earn community service hours, and can receive a California State Parks pass after 40+ hours.
Sacramento Firefighter Youth Academy (SFYA)
A mentorship and youth-development program run with the Sacramento Fire Department and community partner SFARY at McClellan Park, pairing Sacramento teens with firefighter mentors for academic support, community service, and self-discipline coaching toward high school completion and beyond.
San Francisco Habitat Stewards – Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy
Weekly drop-in coastal habitat restoration program at Fort Funston, Lands End, Baker Beach, and the Presidio of San Francisco. Volunteers remove invasive species, plant natives, and learn coastal ecology alongside Parks Conservancy staff; no experience necessary. Volunteers ages 15-17 need a signed parent/guardian approval form.
